Here's a bit of good news for young people: A recent Gallup poll found that the number of uninsured 18- to 26-year-olds was down 4% in 2011 from 2010. Previously, this age group was the most likely to go without insurance. That's now the case for people aged 27-35. The provision of health reform that now allows young adults under the age of 26 to stay on their parents' health plan is to be credited with this drop in the number of uninsured, says Aaron Smith, executive director of the Young Invincibles,sacs longchamps, a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit group that advocates for young adults.
