Several theatre groups offer live theatre to audiences in Greenville, South Carolina. There is professional regional theatre as well as volunteer-based live theatre. All of these theatre groups provide excellent entertainment options. Here are some of their upcoming productions in 2012. Centre Stage is a year round regional theater group located at 501 River Street in downtown Greenville. Their current production is Neil Simon Rumors, which runs from February 16-March 3. The show is a comedy about four couples who have gathered to celebrate a 10th anniversary. What follows is an hilarious course of events that leads to mayhem. The next production is Hairspray, the Tony Award winning musical about a plus size girl whose dream is to dance on a local TV show. Hairspray is scheduled for April 12-29. This will be followed May 24-June 9 by the comedy, Whose Wives are they Anyway? The last production of the season will be Beehive, a high energy 60s era musical playing July 19-August 4. Ticket prices for non-musicals are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $15 for students. Prices for musicals are $30 for adults and $15 for students. The Warehouse Theatre has three remaining productions this season. Shakespeare Merchant of Venice, a story of greed, revenge, love,This Might Become the World's Biggest Game, and betrayal is scheduled for March 16-31. The 39 Steps will run April 27-May 12. This fast moving comedy thriller is based on the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film. Their final production of the season will be Neil Simon coming of age comedy Lost in Yonkers, scheduled for June8-23. The Warehouse Theatre is located at 37 Augusta Street. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $20 for students. The Greenville Little Theatre is the city oldest volunteer-based live theatre company. Their next production is The Unexpected Guest, an Agatha Christie thriller about a stranger who happens upon a murder. It will run from February 24-March 10. This will be followed April 6-21 by Barefoot in the Park,beijing tantric massage, Neil Simon romantic comedy about a 1960s newlywed couple. Their final production of the season will be The Music Man, a popular musical about a con man and the small town librarian he falls in love with. The Music Man is scheduled for June 1-23. The Greenville Little Theatre is located at 444 College Street. Ticket prices for non-musicals are $26 for adults,beijing massage, $25 for seniors, and $18 for juniors (ages 4-18).
