Instead recognize that sales is a conversation.聽 At the end of that conversation you are asking the other participant(s) to do something.聽 Successful conversations have the traits of what makes a successful salesperson as listed above.

Before you begin your embracement of the dirtiest word in business you need to know what sales is not.聽 Sales is not...

Why is it dirty?聽 Without sales there can be no revenue, and without revenue there can be no cash to pay salaries and the bills.聽 Sales are the most important component of business and it is typically the connection a business has with its customers.聽 Yet... many people don't want to be known as a salesperson.
