I've Always Wanted To Learn To Dance But....

    Thursday, October 18, 2012, 2:16 PM [General]

Have you ever thought to yourself, "i would really love to learn to dance but i can't walk down the sidewalk without stumbling over my own feet" or "i'd really love to take formal dance lessons but i can't afford to." Well the good news is that there are affordable dvd and online courses which teach several popular styles of dancing. Whether it's the Cha Cha, Tango, Salsa, or Waltz, learning to take charge of the dance floor is entirely possible. Well i'm one of those who endured formal ballroom dance lessons. While the instruction provided was good and the variety broad, i had to travel at night after work and i was shocked at the expense of the programs offered. These days there's a lot more to dance than just hitting a night club and bopping around the dance floor. While fun and social, there is no form or substance to what is referred to as "booty shaking, beijing escort girl." These days different formal types of dance are breaking out all over the world and enjoying a rebirth. Example, the latin salsa variety is becoming incredibly popular in many entertainment venues in the US. Salsa is stylish, flows nicely with rhythm, and is seductive in an alluring fashion. My personal favorite, the traditional waltz is the most basic form of dance and has been around since the beginning of time it seems. When I think of waltz, i imagine what the days of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelley were like, their style, their grace and fanfare. Also i'd be remise if I didn't mention the beauty and grace of the more formal Viennese Waltz. It's upbeat flowing tempo and popularity go back to the renaissance days of Mozart and Beethoven, beijing escort. Ok, if formal dance lessons are too expensive, not convenient, or just not your thing, take a look at the various video courses offered to you would-be ballroom dancers. Some of the things to consider when selecting any type of dvd or online course are the following: 1) Choose a course that starts with the basics, by this I'm referring to understanding rhythm and tempo. The foundation of all dance types is flowing with the tempo and beat of music. This was the toughest thing for me to get a handle on. Finally, when the proverbial light came on in my head, learning became much easier and i felt much more confident. 2) Make sure the program begins with the more simple dance formats such as the basic waltz. With the waltz, it's easier to understand foot positioning and how to lead your dance partner. Leading is especially important if you're getting married and you happen to be the groom. 3) The video course needs to be fun! If you want to rule the salsa,My Word Program, swing or mamba dance floor, you have to feel confident and fun is imperative. You have to get to the point where you're not constantly looking down at your feet rather than looking straight ahead and at your dance partner. Trust me, that's not fun and makes you feel very insecure in your approach. People enjoy dancing because it provides for a good social environment and is great fun for a Saturday evening.
