For starters, the fact that you actually have competitors is a very obvious sign that you have a product or service that has a target market large enough that it can support all the different competitors vying for market-share. Competition indicates that your particular product/service is in demand, and has probably maintained a demand for a substantial amount of time. Isn't it great to know that your service or product is not a fad? Isn't it good to know that there is a huge consumer base out there that has a true want, need and desire for what you have? It forces manufacturers to always be looking for ways to improve their service and products. How good is that? You can be rest-assured that your company is on top of the market and is always checking out the competition and is listening to consumer feed back from those who use their own products. If you are with a company that does not do this, you'll find out quick enough because they won't be around for very long. Ask yourself these questions when evaluating your current business or business ventures to come: Have you ever seen this product before? Does this service sound eerily familiar?
