[General]
Every sports fan need a cooler (also called a portable ice chest) to keep their liquid refreshments ice cold on game day. A good cooler and some ice will keep your beverages cold and delicious for hours, even on a hot day. But you might be wondering, how do they work? Read on to find out more about the invention that every sports fan loves. Coolers comes in lots of varieties like Lunch Coolers, Party Coolers, Rolling Cooler and Coca Cola Coolers.
Heat radiation
Cold things in a hot environment, like ice-cold beers on a hot summer's day, will warm up. This happens because heat can move through things like beer or a beer can by radiation. How fast it moves though, depends on the material in question. Some things absorb a lot of heat radiation, while others reflect a lot of it away. For example, polished metal like chrome will reflect away a lot of heat,Celebrate Winter Outdoors, and so it won't warm up very quickly. Most gases like air are also poor conductors of heat radiation.
Insulation
So how does a cooler stop your ice-cold beverages from getting warm? Most cooler contain a layer of Styrofoam, beijing escorts, or something like it,beijing escort, between the compartment that holds the ice and drinks, and the outside shell. Styrofoam is a poor conductor of heat radiation because it contains a lot of bubbles, which are full of air. Like all foams, it's really mostly made of air. The air bubbles don't conduct heat well, so it takes a long time for the heat radiation from outside the cooler to get through to the ice and beer inside. Fiberglass also works the same way, so this is another common material used in coolers. These type of coolers are called Insulated Cooler comes in variety like Insulated Lunch Cooler and Insulated Rolling Cooler.
Don't forget that if you've got cold beers on a hot day, you can't stop the beers from getting warmer unless you have a refrigerator the best you can do is to slow down the process so that you have enough time to drink them. So drink up before they get warm! No-one likes a warm beer.
