[General]
My Fashion Passion exists within making others think outside of their comfort zone. At this moment, American fashion exists more in the realm of function and familiarity and is less about pushing the envelope.
The real challenge in this undying passion of mine is to push the average American to take baby steps in acheiving a more polished appearance.
Fashion is all about expresssing one's self with what they put on their body, and people must admit that judgement about another's character can easily be made based on appearance.
Although praising someone for throwing on a skirt and crisp button down, is basically comending an unrevolutionary outfit such steps must be taken in order to progress the appearance of the average American
The one true belief that I harbor and feel could change the way America views fashion is promoting the idea of proper accessorization.
If throwing on a statement costume necklace and a soft leather belt could change the complete vibe of an outfit, which it does, such key principles could easily be relayed to the public.
Better more, there are accessories to suit anyone's taste stemming from mundane wooden beads for bohemians to the crystal chandelier- like necklaces for an internalized princess shown at fall presentations like Burberry Prorsum. For the inner rocker, Prada showcased a melted old record- esque necklace completed with jet black beads, a piece sure to make a statement at any expense.
Diane Von Furstenburg showed models dressed in belted nubby tweed overcoats and accessories for the Hitchcock-girl wannabe. For those who still favor convenient fashion Jean-Paul Gaultier created an even larger birkin for Hermes, answering the prayers of those enormous handbag revelers (you know who you are.)
The truth is that Americans love and appreciate the virtue of basics. They love white button downs, T- Shirts, flip flops, and denim anything. While Ralph Lauren has certainly benefitted from this ongoing popular aethetic, the progression of American fashion lies in quite an opposite predicament.
Snazzing up some of these basics such as replacing rubber flip flops for those made of leather, Kitchy T shirts for more basic V- Necks, and saggy jeans for a crisp dark wash trouser is certainly a start. Inserting key accessories that one can use to express their point of view, would enable America to no longer be a vast plain of look-a-likes,drdrebeats.digitalspace.me, yet instead become a place of individual dressers who can express their personality and heritage, principles of which this country was built upon.
