Dogs as Fashion Accessories I think that this is a fast growing concern in our world. Some people are buying dogs just to dress them up as fashion accessories which is terrible. Some dogs like the clothes that people put on them but that is only if they are like some bald Chihahua who has no fur to keep them warm. Other dogs that have fur and are already cooking in the heat do not need humans dressing them up as well. Dogs can sometimes even be in pain if they are put through this. Not including that dog clothes are badly made and they scratch but there are some that aren't built in a dog shape at all. Women often try and squeeze into clothes that are too small for them and end up just making them look slutty and they think that dogs should be able to fit into clothes too small for them as well. This can cause lack of breathing and real yelping pain. Imagine getting given a jacket in the boiling summer that was way too small for you, scratchy on the inside and caused you lots of pain and maybe a life time injury. Then you will be imagining about a tenth of a dog's pain. Animals are pets not people and should be treated like it. I'm all for spoiling a dog and giving them lots of toys and cuddles and expensive beds that are comfy but if I had to choose between my popularity and my dog I would choose my dog every time because dogs are living things as well. That's why I think celebrities and people who dress their dogs up do it because they are trying to show off. Matching outfits between you and your dog can be cute and if you wanna try it at home for like just 10 minutes, go for it. But if you wanna do it every minute of every day just because you wanna get your picture taken and put in a magazine then you shouldn't be a pet owner. I hope that all pet owners who do dress their pets up will read this article and realise that what they're doing can harm their pet so please stop.
